Learn about our new Community Supported Flexible Care Pricing!

Introducing the Community Supported Model

Beginning February 1, 2026 YCC will launch a new model designed to keep care accessible, equitable, and sustainable for the long term.

What’s staying the same:

  • Walk-In Wednesdays remain 100% free.

  • Every student/family receives their first FOUR counseling sessions at no cost.

  • No youth will ever be turned away due to an inability to pay.

What’s new:

A Community Supported Approach to Ongoing Care

  • Following four free sessions, a fee of $100 per session applies for a maximum of twelve total sessions.

  • Families who may be unable to pay the full cost of counseling sessions can access our flexible care pricing.

    The YCC Access Promise

    Is Cost A Barrier?

We recognize that private pay rates are not feasible for every family. Access to care is the heart of our mission.

Flexible Care Pricing - Thanks to the generosity of our donors we offer a tiered flexible care fee structure based on household income and financial circumstances.

    • Who is eligible? Any student or family facing financial barriers.

    • How do I apply? Simply indicate that you would like to discuss financial assistance during your initial intake call. We handle these requests with the utmost discretion and compassion.

Our bottom line is simple: If you or your student needs help, we will work with you to make it happen.

Payment Options & Insurance

We are an Out-of-Network, Private Pay Provider. YCC does not bill insurance companies directly. By operating outside of the insurance system, we reduce administrative burdens and allow our clinicians to focus 100% of their time on client care rather than paperwork. This also allows us to offer greater privacy regarding your child’s medical records.

Understanding Fees and Insurance Options:

  • For PPO/POS insurance plan, we can provide you with a itemized receipt that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Please contact your health insurance provider to confirm out-of-network benefits and eligibility for reimbursement via superbilling.

Using Your Insurance Benefits:

  • While we are out-of-network, many families with PPO or POS insurance plans have "Out-of-Network" benefits that cover a significant portion of therapy costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why don't you accept insurance directly?

Insurance panels often dictate the length of treatment, require specific diagnoses that stay on a child’s permanent record, and reimburse at rates that make it difficult for non-profits to retain experienced staff. By remaining private pay, we maintain clinical autonomy and financial stability, ensuring we are here for Lexington families for years to come.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, HSA (Health Savings Account) cards, and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Q: I’m worried about the cost. Should I still call?

Yes. Please do not let cost prevent you from reaching out. Our flexible care pricing is designed exactly for this purpose. Contact us to discuss your options.

Good Faith Estimate Notice Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
